Frequently asked questions

How much does a session cost?

$200 for individual 50-minute sessions, $250 for couples and family 60-minute sessions.

I also offer a free initial consultation so we can see if we're a good fit before committing.

Do you accept insurance?

I'm an out-of-network provider.

I can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I believe cost and insurance coverage shouldn't be the only thing standing between you and support. I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots based on individual circumstances. If my standard fee isn't workable for you right now, please reach out and we can talk about options.

What happens in the first session?

We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy and what you'd like to work on.

It's also a chance for you to ask questions and see if you feel comfortable working together. No pressure.

How often do we meet?

Most clients start with weekly sessions.

As things progress, we can adjust frequency based on what works for you.

Is online therapy effective?

Yes.

Research has found it can work just as well as in-person care for many people, while removing common barriers like travel time, health or mobility concerns, and scheduling conflicts.

What's your cancellation policy?

24-hours notice for cancellations.

Late cancellations or no-shows are charged the full session fee.

I've never been to therapy before. Is that okay?

Absolutely.

Many of my clients are coming to therapy for the first time. We'll go at your pace and I'll explain everything along the way.
